Difference between Bright and Live Beer
Bright beer is available for parties. 'Bright' means that the beer has been pre-settled at the brewery so that it can be transported and then drunk immediately, the only downside being that bright beer will lose its condition within 48 hours of being opened.
Live beer can also be supplied, but this is only recommended for when the beer is required to maintain condition over an extended period - eg Christmas, and will need to have 24-48 hours of settlement time before it is ready to drink and will then need to remain undisturbed once settled.
